B SERIES APPLIANCE INSTALLATION GUIDE

What is the B Series Appliance?

The BeyondTrust B Series Appliance is a physical or virtual appliance designed to host the Remote Support and Privileged Remote Access solutions, collectively called Secure Remote Access. The appliance provides a secure, scalable platform for managing remote access and support sessions while ensuring data privacy and compliance. It offers features like high availability, encrypted communications, session recording, and centralized management to support enterprise-grade deployments. Available in multiple configurations, the B Series Appliance is tailored to meet diverse organizational needs, whether on-premises, in the cloud, or as a virtual appliance.

Why is the B Series Appliance important?

The B Series Appliance is crucial because it acts as a centralized hub for all communications between BeyondTrust Secure Remote Access components, ensuring secure, encrypted connections for remote support and privileged access sessions. It enables flexible deployment and integrates essential security features, like role-based access control, to meet organizational policies and compliance requirements. Its location in the network, particularly within a demilitarized zone (DMZ), allows secure communication through firewalls, ensuring reliable and protected access to remote systems while minimizing security risks.

The on-premises B Series Appliance, whether physical or virtual, resides at your facility or data center, under your security measures. This deployment model offers more control over security, giving you a safe way to integrate privileged access and making it easy to export reporting data and videos for a complete audit trail.
