What is the Storage page?
The Storage page in the appliance web interface allows you to manage encryption settings for sensitive data, such as session recordings and communication between the appliance and other systems. This page specifically enables encryption for session data stored on the appliance.
How is it useful to my organization?
This page ensures that sensitive data is securely encrypted, protecting it from unauthorized access. It is crucial for compliance with security standards and regulations, as well as for safeguarding the confidentiality and integrity of session data and communications.
How do I access the Encryption page?
- Sign into app.beyondtrust.io.
The BeyondTrust Home page displays. - From the main menu, click Remote Access > Appliance.
The Appliance page opens in a new tab, and the Status page displays by default. - At the top, click Storage.

How to encrypt your data
- The Storage encryption status information shows if session data stored on the appliance is encrypted, ensuring compliance with security standards and protecting sensitive information.
- A secret store is required to manage the encryption keys used to secure session data on your appliance. If you have not yet created a secret store, go to Security > Secret Store to add one before enabling encryption.
- Click Encrypt to secure the session data stored on your appliance, ensuring enhanced data protection and compliance.
Note
When first encrypting your data, there is a 4GB limit, but this limit no longer applies after the initial encryption. If you have more than 4GB of data to initially encrypt, contact BeyondTrust.
