Grant a group Jump Client policy access

Product: Privileged Remote Access
Audience: IT administrator
Time to complete: 5 minutes

Overview

This workflow shows you how to let a specific group, such as an engineering team, change the Customer Present and Customer Not Present session policies for their Jump Clients. By default, only the group that created a Jump Item Role has this permission.

Before you begin

  • You have administrative access to the PRA administrative console.
  • You know which Jump Group needs this permission (for example, an Engineering team's Jump Group).
  • A Jump Item Role exists for the group, or you are ready to create one.

Why is this important

Teams often need to adjust session behavior for their own Jump Clients without relying on another admin. Without the correct Jump Item Role permission, a group can see the Customer Present Session Policy and Customer Not Present Session Policy fields in the Representative Console, but cannot change them. Granting this permission lets the team manage their own session policies directly.
