TLS configuration
What is the TLS Configuration page?
The TLS Configuration page in the /appliance web interface allows you to manage the protocols and ciphers used for secure communications on the B Series Appliance.
How is it useful to my organization?
This page helps ensure compliance with security standards by allowing administrators to customize TLS settings, enabling strong encryption and disabling outdated or vulnerable protocols and ciphers.
How do I access the TLS Configuration page?
- Use a Chromium-based browser to sign in to your B Series Appliance. The URL is provided in the BeyondTrust welcome email and includes your site URL followed by /appliance.
- From the top menu, click Security.
The Certificates page opens and displays by default. - At the top of the page, click TLS Configuration.
The TLS Configuration page displays.
Enable and disable Cipher suites
- On the TLS Configuration page:
- To disable, under Enabled Cipher Suites, click the checkbox next to an enabled Cipher suites to disable it. The Cipher suite moves to the Disabled Cipher Suites.
- To enable, under Disabled Cipher Suites, click the checkbox next to an disabled Cipher suites to enable it. The Cipher suite moves to the Enabled Cipher Suites section.
- Click Save.
Change the order of preference for a Cipher suite
- On the TLS Configuration page, in the Enabled Cipher Suites section, drag and drop Cipher suites to change the order of preference.
- Click Save.
