Request a Password from Password Safe Cloud

Using a configuration that requires requests to be approved by a designated approver adds accountability and strengthens security. This dual control setup ensures that no one person has full control over managed account passwords.

The process works in three steps:

  1. Password request: An authorized user submits a request to access a password.
  2. Password approval: A designated approver reviews and approves (or denies) the request.
  3. Password retrieval: Once approved, the requester can retrieve the password.

To use a dual control setup, Password Safe users must be assigned the Requestor or Approver role, or both.
