Configure global options

  1. At the top left of the page, click Home menu icon > Password Safe > Configuration.
    The Configurationpage displays. You can also click the Configuration container card on the Password Safe page.
  2. Under System, select Site Options.

From here you can configure global settings, including:

  • Changing the refresh interval for Smart Rules

  • Configuring session options:

    • Limit Management Console sessions to one at a time per user - Once a user performs any operation, the default login screen displays.

    • The BeyondTrust login screen displays fields for Username and Password. The Password field includes a Show toggle. Links for “Forgot Password?” and a blue Log In button appear below the fields.

      Limit Workforce Passwords sessions to one at a time per user - Once a user performs any operation, the web console screen displays.

      The BeyondTrust login prompt displays a Password Safe URL field prefilled with “https://biservervm/webconsole.” Below it, text instructs the user to log in to activate a Workforce Passwords session. Options to use beyondtrust.io to log in and to view the Privacy Policy appear above a blue Log In button.

  • Updating certificate validation options
  • Updating session timeout duration
  • Turning on language selection
  • Creating a global access key to be used for all discovery scan credentials
  • Configuring the maximum number of accounts to display in the Password Safe Accounts grid
