Uninstall clients and adapters

EPM for Mac

Run the uninstall scripts from the default locations.

We recommend using the uninstall scripts to remove macOS products as they will remove the product in the correct order.

Uninstall Endpoint Privilege Management

To uninstall Endpoint Privilege Management locally on a Mac, run the following command:

sudo /usr/local/libexec/Avecto/Defendpoint/1.0/uninstall.sh

Uninstall the Mac adapter

To uninstall the Mac adapter, run the following command.

sudo /usr/local/libexec/Avecto/iC3Adapter/1.0/uninstall_ic3_adapter.sh

Verify uninstall

After running the uninstall script some related directories remain if they are not empty.

To confirm all files are uninstalled, check the following directory:

/Library/Applications Support/*

The PMC adapter stores a secret in Keychain Access named PMCAdapterClient which is removed by uninstall_ic3_adapter.sh.

EPM for Windows

All Endpoint Privilege Management for Windows MSI and EXE installers automatically remove old versions of BeyondTrust software when installed. It is not necessary to manually remove old versions prior to installation.
