Prerequisites

• You must be an Organization Owner.

Get Project ID

1. Sign in to the https://platform.openai.com.
2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner to open the Settings page.
3. Navigate to Projects.
4. Record the Project ID.

Create OpenAI Projects API key

1. Sign in to the https://platform.openai.com.
2. Go to Settings > Projects.
3. Select the project you want to collect data from.
4. Navigate to API Keys under Project.
5. Click Create new secret key.
6. In the Create new secret key window, configure:
   • Name: BeyondTrust-OpenAiProjects-Connector
   • Project: The project you want to collect data from
   • Permissions: Read only
7. Click Create secret key.

Important information

Copy and securely store the key; the key is only displayed once.

Create OpenAI Projects connector

1. From Insights Home, select > Connectors.
   The Connectors page displays.
2. Click Total configured.
3. Click Create Connector > OpenAI Projects.
   The Create OpenAI Project Connector panel displays.

5. Provide the following information:
   • Name: A human-readable name for your OpenAI connector (typically the OpenAI project name).
   • Project Id: Your OpenAI Project ID recorded above (e.g., proj-XXX).
   • API Key: Paste the API Key recorded above.
6. Click Create Connector.
