Endpoint management

What are endpoints?

Endpoints act as access points to corporate networks, cloud services, and the internet, enabling users to connect to the resources they need. They allow remote work, supporting hybrid work environments through VPNs, secure remote desktop tools, or virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).

Endpoints include remote computers or devices residing on a network, such as:

  • Windows desktops, laptops, and servers
  • macOS and iOS devices
  • Linux systems
  • Android phones and tablets.

How are endpoints useful?

Endpoints are crucial components of modern IT infrastructure and serve as the gateways through which users interact with networks, applications, and data.

Devices like laptops, desktops, smartphones, and tablets allow users to access applications, files, and systems needed for their roles. Endpoints facilitate seamless communication through tools like email, video conferencing, and messaging platforms.

Endpoints collect and display data for you to analyze and make decisions, and you can use endpoints to apply and enforce IT policies to secure sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
