Entitlement reports

What are entitlement reports?

Entitlement reports are text-based, filterable reports you can run at any time for an overall view of your EPM Cloud for Linux hosts running in a role-based policy mode.

Entitle report types

Report levels correspond to the level of detail you want reported. The higher the number, the more detailed the report.

1 - Basic: A general overview of your policies.

2 - Includes command group report: A general overview of your policies and command groups

3 - Includes date and time report: A general overview of your policies, and a date and time report

4 - includes additional role options: A thorough overview of your policies

How are entitlement reports useful

Use entitlement reports to view who can do what, where, and when for your EPM Cloud for Linux hosts running in role-based policy mode.

Run an entitlement report

  1. Click an icon with three horizontal lines > Endpoint Privilege Management for Linux > Policy.
    The Role Based Policy page displays.
  2. Click the Entitlement Reports tile.
    The Entitlement Reports page displays.
  3. Select your report level.
  4. Set your filters:
    • Run Host: Filter your report by specific hosts by searching for their host name(s).
    • Run User: Filter your report by specific user by searching for their user name(s).
    • Submit User: Filter your report by users who submitted commands by searching for their user name(s).
    • Submit Host: Filter your report by hosts that submitted command by searching for their host name(s).
    • Command: Filter your report by command name(s).
  5. Click Update in each filter.
    The report updates with the requested information.

Copy an entitlement report

  1. Click an icon with three horizontal lines > Endpoint Privilege Management for Linux > Policy.
    The Role Based Policy page displays.
  2. Click the Entitlement Reports tile.
    The Entitlement Reports page displays.
  3. Select your report type and set your filters.
  4. Click the Copy icon.
    The report copies to your machine's clipboard.

Download an entitlement report

  1. Click an icon with three horizontal lines > Endpoint Privilege Management for Linux > Policy.
    The Role Based Policy page displays.
  2. Click the Entitlement Reports tile.
    The Entitlement Reports page displays.
  3. Select your report type and set your filters.
  4. Click the Download icon and select Text File.
    A text file is generated and downloads to your machine.

    You may be prompted to allow BeyondTrust to download to your machine; click Allow to continue with the download.
