EPM CLOUD FOR LINUX INSTALLATION GUIDE

Before you begin

• BeyondTrust recommends using the epml-client packages instead of the epml-cachedclient packages, as these are the more secure options.
• Packages are built on the SaaS server.
• Packages are created depending on your EPM Cloud for Linux configuration (cached and not cached).

Note

If installing a package on numerous client hosts, we recommend you use alien to convert the EPM Cloud for Linux .rpm file to debformat, then make it available to the machines where it can be installed using the native package manager.

Installation workflow

To successfully install and activate EPM Cloud for Linux:

1. Create and install the EPM Cloud for Linux packages for your client host machines.
2. Activate the EPM Cloud for Linux package installation.
3. Install the EPM Cloud for Linux client on your RPM, Debian, or Ubuntu-based system.
