What are Jump Clients?

Jump Clients are software agents installed on remote systems, enabling secure, unattended access to those systems for support or administrative tasks.

Jump Clients provide reliable, always-available access to remote systems, improving efficiency by allowing support teams to resolve issues without requiring user intervention. They enhance security through encrypted connections and customizable access controls.

How do I access the Jump Clients page?

1. Use a Chromium-based browser to sign in to your Remote Support URL.
   This URL is provided in the BeyondTrust welcome email and includes your site URL followed by /login.
2. From the left menu, click Remote Support > Jump.
   The Jump Clients page opens.

4. Add: Adds a Jump Client installer.

5. Jump Clients columns: List of Jump Clients columns.

   Jump Clients columns

   • Name: Unique name of the Jump Client.
   • Public Site Address: The DNS name of the site.
   • Jump Group: Select what Jump Group you want the client to participate in.
   • Expires: Defines how long the installer is valid. This is determined by the This Installer Is Valid For setting.
   • **Prompt If Elevating On Deploy:**Prompts the user to enter administrative credentials.
   • Comments: Add a note about the Jump Client.
   • Tag: Add a tag for organizational purposes.

6. List options: Edit or delete an installer.

7. Generic Jump Client Installer: Download an installer that is not tied to a specific Jump Client.

8. Jump Client usage: Table that displays the command line parameters.

9. Jump Client Statistics: Displays statistics of the Jump Clients.

10. Upgrade: Settings to control automatic upgrade of Jump Clients.

11. Maintenance: Settings to control maintenance of Jump Clients.

12. Miscellaneous: Setting to wake up Jump Clients via Wake on LAN (WOL).
