Custom Fields
What are custom fields?
Custom fields are additional fields that can be configured for individual sessions using the public portal issue submission configuration and certain API operations.
How are custom fields useful?
Custom fields allow organizations to capture specific information pertinent to their processes, enhancing data collection and workflow efficiency.
Up to 30 custom fields can be defined for sessions, which can be displayed in the access console.
How do I access the Custom Fields tab?
- Sign into app.beyondtrust.io.
The BeyondTrust Home page displays. - From the main menu, click Privileged Remote Access > Configuration.
The Configuration page opens and the Options tab displays by default. - Click Custom Fields. The Custom Fields tab displays.
Add a custom API field
- Navigate to the Custom Fields tab, and click Add.
- Enter a unique Display Name.
This name displays in the access console as part of the session details. - Optionally, enter a Code Name.
Set a code name for integration purposes. If you do not set a code name, Privileged Remote Access creates one automatically. - Optionally, select Show in access console.
If you check Show in Access Console, this field and its values are visible wherever custom session details display in the access console. - Click Save.
Edit a custom field
- Click the pencil icon next to the custom field you wish to edit.
The Edit Custom Fieldtab displays. - Edit the custom field information.
The Edit Custom Field tab is identical to the Add Custom Field tab. - Click Save.
The custom field is saved.
Delete a custom field
- Click the trash icon next to the custom field you wish to delete.
- Click Yes.
