Simplify Azure connector configuration with PowerShell script for AI security

This update introduces automated Power Platform configuration for the Azure connector with flexible deployment options. Previously, Power Platform configuration for the Azure connector was mostly manual. When creating the connector, choose Enable AI Security (Yes/No) and run the generated PowerShell command. The script completes the required setup end-to-end, including assigning the needed roles and permissions, so manual configuration is no longer required.

  • Yes provisions Dataverse app users with Service Reader roles across all environments to enable Copilot visibility in the AI security section.
  • No applies a basic Azure-only setup.

Example command:

.\azure_powerplatform_onboarding.ps1 -EnableAISecurity $true

Important: Azure Cloud Shell is no longer supported. Setup now requires local PowerShell execution for improved reliability and consistent module availability.

Why It Matters: This eliminates manual steps, accelerates connector rollout, and ensures consistent least-privilege access across environments.

Datadog integration tile (Webhook)

We’ve added a new Datadog tile on the Insights > Integrations page, making it easier to connect Identity Security Insights with Datadog.

What is Datadog?

Datadog is a cloud observability platform that helps teams monitor and troubleshoot environments by centralizing telemetry like logs, dashboards, and alerts in one place.

What you get with this integration:

The integration includes a prebuilt Datadog dashboard – “BeyondTrust Identity Security Insights – Detections” – to track total detections, severity breakdown, and detection trends over time, helping you quickly identify spikes and your most frequent detections/providers. You can further enhance analysis using Datadog log pipelines and included Cloud SIEM rules.

Support: This integration is built and supported by Datadog. Contact Datadog Support for assistance.
