macOS Tahoe compatibility statement

The public launch of Apple macOS 26 (Tahoe) happened on September 15, 2025. BeyondTrust has tested the Secure Remote Access (SRA) products, Remote Support 25.2.1 and Privileged Remote Access 25.2.1, against this new operating system.

At this time, macOS 26 (Tahoe) is not fully supported.

The SRA team tested MacOS Tahoe and during the beta period the following four issues have been identified:

  • If the end user hovers over or clicks on the Aa button to enlarge text in the customer client window, the client closes and screen sharing ends.
  • Once a session ends, there is a new prompt that appears each time the session is ended. After the session ends, there is a new prompt: ""Remote Support" is running in the background after it was closed.""
  • When you attempt to share a file in the Customer Client the following dialog box sporadically displays: The open file operation failed.
  • If the rep shows their screen to the end user, and the customer clicks on the chat icon to hide the sidebar, the Customer Client crashes.

There are currently no available workarounds for these issues. Fixes have already been implemented and will be included in upcoming maintenance releases.
