Base 7.3.0 release notes

November 14, 2024

New features and enhancements

  • Once the product has been installed, access to the appliance management interface is restricted to hostname only to prevent HTTP Host Header Attacks.
  • Administrators can now customize HTTP and HTTPS port configuration in the /appliance interface.

Issues resolved

Product AreaDescriptionResolution
Security > Certificates pageIn the rare case when a certificate without a CN was imported to an appliance, an admin could not delete it.If a certificate does not have a CN, the full subject of the certificate is substituted for the CN string, allowing for proper certificate management.
Users > SAML pageOn a FIPS appliance, uploading a PKCS12 file as a SAML payload encryption private key would result in an error, even if the file was created on the same appliance.PKCS12 files are now passed to the appliance as certificate + key, allowing them to be uploaded to both FIPS and non-FIPS appliances without error.
Networking > SNMP pageA typographical error existed in the system. The typographical error has been corrected.
Networking > IP Configuration page, Security > Certificates pageA recent change allows users to disable port 80, but this port is required for some use cases.A warning appears on the page for certain customers, notifying them of the requirement to have port 80 open in the /appliance interface.
Networking > IP Configuration pageRegardless of how many DNS servers were set up in the /appliance interface, only the first three were being checked. All DNS servers are now checked, with a maximum of five DNS servers allowed.
Security > TLS Configuration pageTwo unused ciphers were causing odd results when scans were run.The unused ciphers have been removed from the appliance.
