Add allowlist entries

Adds one or more entries to your organization's IP allowlist. Each entry is a single address, a CIDR block, or a start-to-end range, in IPv4 or IPv6, with an optional description of up to 140 characters.

The request can partly succeed. Valid entries are stored, and each rejected entry is returned in skipped with one of these reasons:

  • INVALID_ENTRY: The value isn't a valid address, CIDR block, or range. Zero-padded IPv4 addresses, such as 010.020.030.040, are rejected because they're ambiguous.
  • DUPLICATE: The range is already on the list, even if it's written differently or has a different description. For example, 10.0.0.0/8 and 10.0.0.0-10.255.255.255 are the same entry.
  • DESCRIPTION_TOO_LONG: The description is longer than 140 characters.

An organization can have up to 900 entries. If a request would go over that limit, it fails with 400 and nothing is stored. Only entries that would actually be stored count toward the limit.

Changes can take up to five minutes to take effect.
