Requirements:

• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 (required to use Power Rules, PowerShell audit scripts, PowerShell API, and Agent Protection)
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 (required to use Multifactor Authentication with an OIDC provider)
• PowerShell 3.0 (required to use Power Rules, PowerShell audit scripts, and PowerShell API)
• Trellix (formerly McAfee) Agent (required if you are installing the Privilege Management client with switch EPOMODE=1)

Note

The executable version of the client package includes all necessary prerequisites (excluding .NET Framework) and automatically installs them as necessary. If you use the MSI or ZIP package, you must manually install any necessary prerequisites.

Issues resolved:

Resolved an issue where certain Windows Server operating systems were incorrectly reported in our system. The update ensures accurate OS version detection and reporting, improving the consistency and reliability of our platform.

What: An issue was identified where Windows Server 2022 systems were being incorrectly detected and reported as Windows Server 2016. This led to inconsistent policy application and potential performance differences across different server versions.

Why: The problem was caused by inconsistencies in how OS versions were identified within the system. This update corrects the issue, ensuring that the accurate operating system version is displayed and used in policy management.

Users: All supported Windows operating systems will now be correctly identified and reported in the system. This will ensure that the appropriate policies are applied based on the actual OS version, leading to more consistent performance across environments.

Systems: This fix enhances the accuracy of OS detection, particularly for Windows Server versions, ensuring that all features and policies are correctly deployed based on the server's true configuration.
