Password Safe Mobile app 1.7.0 release notes
🆕 New features
Mark secrets, safes, and folders as favorites
You can now mark secrets, safes, and folders as favorites so the items you use most are always within reach.
- Tap the star on a secret in the secrets list or secret details to add or remove it from your favorites.
- Mark safes and folders as favorites from the Secrets Safe hierarchy, and use the favorites filter to show only favorited items. Parent folders stay visible so you can always reach a favorited item.
- Favorites are personal. Marking a shared secret or folder as a favorite does not affect other users.
For more information, see Favorites.
View version history and roll back secrets
You can now view the version history of a secret and restore an earlier version if a change needs to be undone.
- See each version's number, creation date, creator, and which version is active.
- Preview the value of an earlier version (password, text, or file) before restoring it.
- Roll back to a selected version, which then becomes the active version.
For more information, see Version history and rollbacks.
View and download file secrets
File secrets now appear in the secrets list alongside credential and text secrets. Use Download in the secret's menu to save the file to your device.
Manage where a secret is shared
Use Manage Shares in a secret's menu to see the folders where the secret is shared, and add or remove share locations from your phone. Access to a share follows the permissions of the safe the destination folder belongs to.
For more information, see Manage shares.
Move secrets and shares to another folder
Use Move to Folder in a secret's menu to move a secret, or a share of one, to a different folder.
- If a secret with the same name already exists at the destination, choose to stop, rename the secret, or skip it.
- Only destinations you can move into are listed.
For more information, see Move secrets.
Move folders
Use Move Folder in a folder's menu to move it, along with its subfolders, secrets, and shares, to another folder or safe. After the move, the hierarchy opens to the new location so you can see where the folder landed.
- If a folder with the same name exists at the destination, choose to stop or rename the folder, for example Folder (1).
- Destinations that would exceed the maximum folder depth appear dimmed and can't be selected.
- Your personal folder is always available as a destination.
For more information, see Move folders.
One-time codes (TOTP) for Secrets Safe credentials
Credential secrets with TOTP enabled now show a Verification Code (TOTP) field in secret details, and a Copy One-Time Code option in the secret menu.
- The code is masked until you reveal it. A countdown shows how long the code remains valid, and the code is masked again when it expires.
- Copy the code without revealing it. The clipboard is cleared automatically.
- Turn on TOTP and enter the secret key when creating or editing a credential secret. You can enter a Base32 key or a full
otpauth://URI.
For more information, see TOTP for Secret Safe credentials.
