Password Safe Mobile app 1.6.0 release notes

You can now create, update, and delete Secrets Safe secrets directly from the mobile app, in addition to credential secrets. These actions are available from both the secrets list and the secret details screen.

• Create text secrets and file secrets, with a maximum file size of 5 MB.
• Update secrets of any type. Applies to iOS and Android.
• Delete secrets of any type, with a confirmation prompt before deletion.

Important

• Update is not available for shared secrets.
• You need Update, Delete, or Manage permissions to perform these actions, and you can delete only one secret at a time. All actions are recorded in the Password Safe audit log.
• Available in offline mode.

You can now organize Secrets Safe content from the mobile app. From the Secrets Safe home screen, you can add a safe, and rename or delete an existing safe or folder.

• Add Safe: Creates a new safe.
• Rename: Changes the name of a safe or folder.
• Delete: Removes a safe or folder, with a confirmation prompt before deletion.

Important

• You need Update or Manage permissions on the safe to use these actions.
• If you do not have the required permissions, Rename and Delete appear dimmed in the context menu. You can delete only one item at a time, and these actions require an online connection. All actions are recorded in the audit log.

Secrets search now uses partial matching instead of requiring an exact title, so you can find a secret without knowing its full name. Search covers both the secrets you own and secrets shared with you, in a single result set.

• Search across title, username, description, file name, notes, URL, and folder name.
• Filter results by secret type: credential, text, file, or shared — and by favorite status.
• Sort and page through results.

Extended search requires BeyondInsight and Password Safe 26.2 or later. On earlier versions, the app continues to use exact-title matching.

The iOS Autofill extension now filters secrets by partial title match, so you can select the right credential by typing only part of its name. Autofill search is intentionally scoped to the secret title to keep credential selection fast.
