BT Updater 3.4.1 Release Notes

⚠️

Important

The version of BeyondTrust Updater shown within the Updater displays as 3.4.1.1743. This package actually contains the 3.4.1.1742 install of BeyondTrust Updater, and shows as such in the About tab after installation. This deviation was necessary due to the original 1742 package being corrupted and failing to install. This package was revoked and replaced with 1743.

Important

As of January 1, 2025, BeyondTrust Product Update Server will NO LONGER be protected by Imperva cloud. Instead, BeyondTrust is switching over to CloudFlare.

Requirements

  • .NET 4.7.2 or later
  • IIS to be enabled on host
  • Node 14 upgrade required to Node 20

Errors and Looping when Downloading packagesRe-structured download process to be more stable.
Can't add more than one email address for "to address" Update SettingsLower case before or after @ in email address was giving error. Now able to enter email address with capitals and lower case letters.
Updater - BI Downloads but does not installExpanded new download process to include the installation, eliminating a gap this fell into.
Service cycling when first upgrading / updating to 3.4.1.1730Downloaded the latest 4.3.3 appliance software. Updater Service stopped, and then started cycling again. After a few minutes ( less than 5 ) the service remained in the running state, and updates download as expected.
Updater Service Crashes & Restarts on Download of Appliance Software 4.3.3Improved error logging/reporting. Moved Mutex, no longer seeing error logged.
